After Donnez-moi la phrase was issued in spring 2008, Francesca asked us what we could do for Al Dente.
The album is no longer available. Francesca doesn't have any copy left. Her audience is still asking for it. Hence we proposed a reissue!
2000 copies will be pressed by Juste une Trace and distributed by Anticraft at the end of this year. It will be available in concerts and at all dealers who wish so.Il sera également disponible en concert et chez tous les revendeurs qui le désirent. Before 30 september 2008, we ask for your help so as to give Al Dente a second life!
Allain Leprest songs, recorded in studio from the show directed by Jacques Rosner and created in 8 december 1995 in the Théâtre Sorano, Toulouse.
Al Dente is about Francesca's italian roots, "Grand-père était rital / Des tomates et des pêches / Ricotta, collier d’ail / Un plat de pâtes fraîches / Un verre à la santé / Al Dente". Francesca sings Allain Leprest's poetic slices of life with her everlasting strength. The cover's artwork was created by Ernest Pignon-Ernest.
"Avec Allain Leprest, on se comprend très bien, on s'estime beaucoup. Je n'ai pas besoin de lui raconter cinquante mille choses... Je lui parle de mon grand-père, de ma mère, qui étaient des antifascistes italiens, mais je ne lui écris pas ses chansons. Il écrit comme il voit l'Italie : lui, il voit l'Italie avec la ricotta, etc. Et puis sur la mort de ma mère, je n'ai pas eu besoin de lui dire comment elle était, et il a écrit Sarment qui est une chanson splendide."
